*** Remix of “Rolling In The Deep”, Vid & Music by Starchild & The New Romantic ***
Spent this past summer in NYC and a terrific time. Wish I had something esoteric to say about how it may contribute somehow, so I guess I will. Interned at Pitchfork, which was exciting & I was eager for once. Did some small Shakespeare productions of Twelfth Night in the parks. And worked at American Apparel, dig? It was busy but I met a lot of new folk and a lotta old folk, so yeah. Enough sappy rappy. Here’s to 2013, Rod Stewart. **** (at NYC SUMMER 2012)
The Christmas Bootleg
“We’d like to give you a Christmas present right now, this is a new song, we’ve never played it before, but from us 2 U…” - Prince
Anonymous asked: What inspired your Night Music mix-tape? Loved the Gemini track, by the way
Hey There Friend,
Night Music was something that really evolved. It started with “This Night Out” and came to capture the feelings, attitudes, sentiments, hopes, dreams, wishes, goals, heartbreaks, victories & failures all associated in the love/lust of one night. It’s sort of a romanticized look on all of those things that kinda push us to just ask another lover: “What’s your name?”. Dig? Really inspired by fashion & supermodels of the 80s & 90s (specifically Naomi Simms who’s featured on the front).
It’s also a prologue for C R U C I A L…my next piece, which is to come : )
Enjoy!
